The estate sits just 4 km from the centre of Siena, yet feels completely immersed in the Tuscan countryside, with views across vineyards and olive groves that have been farmed by the same land for centuries. Civil, symbolic, and legally binding ceremonies are all available on-site; Catholic ceremonies can be arranged in nearby historic churches.

Monaciano is designed for the full destination wedding experience. The terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside can host well over 100 guests for ceremonies in the open air, while the elegant Ballroom offers a more intimate and regal indoor alternative. The ancient Lemon House provides a third option — a characterful space of 90 sqm — and the main garden, the olive grove, and the vineyard edges are all approved ceremony locations for couples who want something truly unique.

For the reception, the estate offers a remarkable range of settings: beneath the shade of a centuries-old cedar tree, beside the Venus nymphaeum with panoramic vineyard views, in front of the Villa's refined façade, or gathered around the rural courtyard. The 350 sqm vaulted cellar serves as an atmospheric plan B in poor weather, and doubles as the natural home for dancing and late-night celebrations — with music permitted indoors until 1:45am.

The estate's professional kitchen is available exclusively to your chosen chef or caterer, and Monaciano's own Chianti Classico wines are a required feature of the wedding day — a rule that turns out to be no hardship at all. A full shuttle service runs between the Villa and the farmhouses throughout the event, keeping even the most sprawling guest list connected.

Accommodation Across the Estate

The main Villa sleeps 24 guests in 11 double and 3 single bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, across 1,500 sqm of historic spaces and a 30,000 sqm garden — all for the exclusive use of your group during your stay. A marble swimming pool overlooking the vineyards is reserved for Villa guests, and breakfast is served every morning.

A further 80 guests can be accommodated across four farmhouses set among the olive groves and hills of the estate. Poggio is the largest, with 12 apartments for 38 guests, a private pool, and communal spaces perfect for a pizza party or welcome BBQ. Bistolfo, Piturnella, and Cellolino each offer smaller groups of 3 apartments a quieter, more secluded retreat, within 15–20 minutes' walk of the Villa. Daily breakfast boxes with fresh local products are included for all farmhouse guests.

Wines, Tastings & a Taste of Monaciano

The estate produces its own Chianti Classico, extra-virgin olive oil, and grappa — and experiencing them is woven into the fabric of any stay at Monaciano. Guided wine tastings for groups of 8 to 60 can be arranged in the cellar, and the estate offers custom welcome bags featuring its wines alongside Tuscan specialty products.
