In case you did not know, Lucca is the hometown of one
Giacomo Puccini. You can visit his house, near
via San Paolino and see his statue. I also believe that by law there has to be a
concert every night with at least one piece by the Maestro. Evene if there isn't such a law,
there are really lots of concerts in Lucca.
I still remember the first time we stayed here. We had rented an appartment for a week, that hapenned
to be on the top floor of the building next to the San Giovanni Church. Every night around 9pm, we could
open our windows and listen to the Opera in our private booth. How can you not fall in love
with a place like this?
