Set in its own park, which extends over 9 hectares, this lavish 16th century villa boasts both a naturalistic English garden, with rare trees from around the world, and a perfectly symmetrical Italian Garden, adorned with 100 year old lemon trees as well as manneristic fountains and marble statues. The property is composed of a main villa dating back to the 16th century, an outdoor boxhedge theatre, a Tuscan manicured garden as well as a 17th century lemon tree conservatory.
For your legally valid civil ceremony, we suggest the use of the romantic outdoor theatre made up entirely of box hedge trees. For those that prefer the allure of the majestic main Villa, the ceremony can be held inside the beautifully frescoed “Hall of Curtains”, where the walls are painted with trompe l’oeil curtains, dancing nymphs, and geometric designs.
Post ceremony enjoy your cocktails in the picturesque Italian Garden, surrounded by cascading pink geraniums and the melodic sounds of the sparkling fountains.
The lemon tree conservatory, a 17th architectural masterpiece, houses the lemon trees from the Italian Garden during the winter season, and makes for a most original reception site. Enjoy a moonlight cocktail on its lush lawns. Then dine inside, under the long dangling vines which romantically drape the ceiling, while listening to the murmur of the ornate wall fountain of Bacchus, God of Wine. During the summer months, the large wooden doors are left open, bringing the fragrant breezes of the garden inside the cool stone walls. With its unique architecture that blurrs the boundaries between exterior and interior, the Lemonry is the ideal location for those who love the idea of having an outdoor wedding but don't want the stress of worrying about what to do if the weather turns bad.
For those who would like to also provide accommodation for family and guests the villa has recently restored its adjacent farmhouses to a very high level. The décor is ecclectic and the ammenities are all modern. These sleep 20 people, can be rented out for a minimum 2 nights stay and include the use of a shared pool. Further accommodation available on a weekly basis, and in mid season on a 4 night min stay basis, can be found inside the park of the villa, where 3 charming farmhouses sleeping up to 22 people complete the property. All rental units have a pool.
