If you want to know about events happening in Lucca before they happen (and before we report about them in this blog), then have a look at Lucca Turist. I t is in Italian, but the news box should be easy enough to understand.

For exemple 2 main events are going on at the moment:

• Lucca Comics and Games 05, a comics convention,

• Il Luoghi Dell Olio, which organizes visits of farms that produce olive oil, especially interesting at the moment as this is the time when olives are being picked, the oil is being produced and the lucchesi become lyrical about it. The lyrical part is easy to understand actually, when you taste freshly pressed and unfiltered olive oil. It is much better than, and very different from, regular olive oil. Drizzled on bread, with a little salt on top, you can really taste the fruit in it. Yum!
