Suvereto
After our no so great experience in Venturina, we decided to drive semi-randomly, in search of a restaurant open at 5 p.m. on a Sunday.
We ended up in Suvereto, which is a really cute little town. It is very small, but very quaint. It has all the required features of the perfect Tuscan town: a surrounding wall, old stone buildings, steep streets, a beautiful little chapel, great view over the valley (albeit partly ruined by way too many power lines).
It also has a great trattoria: L'Ostelleria dei Trei Banditi (The Inn of the Three Bandits). They were not only open, but really good, and very very nice. As we were the only customers we chatted with each of the 4 waiters and chefs who were playing cards on the terrace, when they weren't busy preparing us a great meal.
