If you remember, we have some traffic problems in Lucca at the moment.

But there is hope!

The city traffic commission seems to have actually understood that people were indeed very upset about the situation, and they might have a solution, which would avoid people having to drive all accross town when all they wanted was to get in and out of the city (or in most cases when they did not know that traffic was limited within most of the city walls).

In any case, at least until the traffic patterns return to normal (which should be the end of 2006!), it is best not to enter Lucca through Porta Elisa, in any case there is very little available parking on this side ot town.
